I currently reside in Tacoma, and therefore am willing to travel to Seattle or Olympia...and of course my own hometown (Longview!)
As a photographer, ironically, I find myself awkward in front of the camera. This is something I figured out early on and decided it was much better to be on the shooting side of the lens. My passion for photography started in middle school, on the early morning bus rides, I would see the most beautiful images and desperately wish I had a camera with me. Later, in high school, I took a beginning photo class and my photo-teacher suggested very strongly that I not sign up for the Photo 2 class. Being the stubborn girl that I am, I did just what he told me not to do, and signed up for photo 2. Once I got the hang of the technical aspect of photography, I was free to hone in my artistic skills and things took off from there. My photo teacher did not argue when I continued to sign up for more photography classes, and later, even went to State.
Being a people person, I love to photograph people. People are my number one passion, followed by animals (my animals!) and don't get me wrong, I will jump all over a landscape shot-when given the right moment.
I currently reside in Tacoma, Washington with my husband of almost 4 years, dog, 2 cats, fish, and mini-lobster. Outside of photography I enjoy a good dress up party, dance party, camp trip, eating outdoors, reading and writing poetry & short stories. Longview, Washington is my hometown and I am often found back home.
My favorite camera to shoot with is the Nikon F6 55mm lens, that my grandfather left me. I guess you can say a passion for photography runs in the family.
