S Family Visit Tacoma

You might not recognize the parents, but you might recognize the little boy! I did his newborn shoot, not that long ago (back when the weather was nice!) HERE are his newborn shoot previews if you need a refresher. He was a cute little newborn then, one of the easiest newborn shoots to do, but I'm afraid to say, he has gotten CUTER! How can that be? He was so smiley and happy. Mr. T (hehe) is such a sweetie! Anyway, him and his parents traveled down to do a shoot in Tacoma, and they were all such wonderful troopers, doing one of the wettest shoots I've done this year! You can definitely tell where he gets his easy going attitude from. I hope you enjoy the photos!

this is one of my favorites.

look at that face!

Longview Mini Sessions

Longview mini sessions were a hit! It was my first time putting on mini sessions, and I did learn a thing or two for the next time I do them, but for the most part, they went really well. It was wonderful seeing old clients and meeting new ones.

The D Family. Miss S is the absolute cutest!

I photographed his parent's wedding!

You've seen that cute guy before.

Do you remember him?
He is so darn smart and funny!

I don't want to be biased...but in this case, I can't help it.
That cute bottom belongs to my Godson!

Bruno!!!! And his beautiful girlfriend and their dogs.

Mr. E, in the 6th grade (see his doc Martens?! they're cool again!)
Mr. A and Miss E, cute as can be.

Cheung Longview Reception

I went down to Longview to witness & photograph this amazing celebration! J&M had their beautiful wedding in California in September, but J is from my home town and his father wanted to throw them a Longview reception, for all the family and friends that couldn't make it down for the wedding. The guests were in for a TREAT! They had NO idea that they were going to see some traditional Chinese Lion Dancers. It was awesome and, although it was traditional, you could definitely tell that whoever was the rear of the yellow lion, had been to a few clubs in their life (booty shakin'). Besides the wow factor, the room was filled with love and joy for this fun couple! Hope you enjoy the photos! (Please click on each photo to enlarge).

Father-son (younger brother of the groom)
had a little after Lion Dance celebration of their own!

isn't the bride just gorgeous?!

This little boy...had been begging for cake since
he arrived. This is what it looks like after
he's consumed the cake!

Congrats, you two!

Amanda & David Engagement

I say this a lot, but I have a great time with my clients. I love my job. Amanda & David are no exception and they are the kind of couple that I found to be hilarious and adorable and I could instantly relate with them. I had a fantastic time at our shoot, and told them so! Work can sometimes feel like...work, but not this day. It felt like hanging out with buddies. AND they brought their puppies and you guys all know how I feel about that. (I would be an animal hoarder if it wasn't weird and crazy). Anyway, I hope you enjoy their engagement photos. I decided to shoot all in film (haven't done that in a while), sometimes when I know that the pressure is off, I like to use my oldschool Nikon, just so I remember how to use it. Film still captures so much more than digital photography! The technology hasn't quite caught up yet, in my opinion.
If you feel like this picture looks fake,
it's bc it was. We actually shot in a warehouse
in L.A. ;)

The puppies!

This was kind of a joke-shot, but those ducks didn't
seem to mind at all!

The D Family

I met up with this beautiful family at one of Longview's most beautiful parks, Lake Sacajewea. This is a local favorite, and this time of year, you can see why. I showed up a little early and saw how breathtaking all the leaves were and thought Alice had made a great choice in location. Doug, the dad/husband and I go way back. I mean, waaaaay back, like elementary school, bus rides, fights, pranks, jokes sort of back. I've met his beautiful wife a few times throughout the year, and first saw her when she owned a local restaurant in town. She was always there, well dressed and looking beautiful in her cute little restaurant! Their tall little boy (he's only in the 2nd grade! Can you believe it?) Mr. D was bright, friendly, and easy to like. You'll also see some photos of the family puppy, who was very much a puppy (wild boy!). It was a wonderful time, and an all around fun, easy going shoot. Thank you for choosing me as your photographer D Family!

aren't they a beautiful couple?

McV Grandkids!

Oh, you know...you've seen most of these kids on here before! Even recently, I would say. The matriarch of the McV fam called upon me to take some photos of her beautiful, fun, funny grandchildren. It poured and hailed on the way to her house, and I was a bit worried! But it cleared up and made for some fun photos. Don't they look like a fun family? (They are.)

C Family

You've seen this gang before, and you will likely see them again! Miss L is hands down the funniest little girl client I have. Not only do I know I'm in for a good laugh during the shoot, but I know I'm in for a good chuckle while editing the photos. My husband, who doesn't even tried to hide his biased opinion, also thinks Miss L is absolutely adorable.

She gave me permission to take this photo,
and after she realized I had taken more
than one, she let me know I was pushing my limits!

She looks so much like her daddy and acts
so much like her mommy!

Jenta, Mark Morris High Class of 2013

Yay for Mark Morris kids! (I'm totally biased, bc that was my Alma Mater, albeit a long time ago...) I met up with Jenta for some more urban type photos on a if-y weather day, but fortunately we lucked out and got the patch of sun. She did a fantastic job posing, and look at her gorgeous eyes! I also met up with her a little later in the day for a 2nd shoot (which you will see, coming up soon!). She seems like a very sweet, smart girl, and totally easy to photograph, made my job easy! She's another senior to look for in the spring. :)

Taylor Class of 2013 KHS Senior

I met up with this Kelso High Senior (and his dad, J) at his school, unfortuantely the day that we picked happened to be a completely busy! The parking lot was full and there were tons of people where we wanted to take pictures. No worries, though, Taylor was not phased! He rocked it out.

If you are not from the Longview-Kelso area, then you are not familiar with how much school pride Kelso High has, and how big of a football school they are! Taylor is a football star, but not only that, I found him to be a sweet, well mannered young man. Look for him in the spring for his senior sessions part 2!

Meet Lucy.

Anyone who knows me personally, knows how much I love animals. Getting to photography Lucy on a beautiful Sunday afternoon was totally right up my alley! How cute is she?

McV Family Shoot

I love this family. What more can I say? They are so fun, cool, and hip. Their children are sweet and HILARIOUS. This was a far different shoot than our shoot from last year (which was coats and rain and freezing!) The weather was absolutely fantastic and it was wonderful getting to see them again!

I had to choose from an entire series of hilarious
photos. Don't ask why dad's eyes are slightly red. ;)

I love this one. Look at miss thang over there!
